Put your money where your mouth is – Davos2025

“Put your money where your mouth is”. Every day, procurement decisions shape the world we live in. They determine who benefits, who grows, and who gets left behind. I firmly believe that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals isn’t just about policies and promises—it’s about action. And action starts with rethinking how and where we spend, and on what.

Procurement: A Tool for Transformation

Procurement is more than a transaction; it’s a powerful tool for change. By prioritizing local supply chains, supporting sustainable practices, and ensuring inclusivity, we have the power to transform economies, everywhere. This is especially true in the aid and health sectors. Where each dollar, franc or dinar spent has the potential to strengthen communities, create resilience, and drive equality.

As a Dutch female entrepreneur and founder, I’ve made it my mission to rebuild the global supply chain for good. Through Solvoz, we’ve developed a platform that empowers organizations. To make procurement decisions aligned with the SDGs. To support decisions that are fair, transparent, and impactful.

We can’t solve the challenges of today’s world with yesterday’s systems. It’s time to embrace procurement as a force for sustainable and inclusive growth.

Heading to Davos with a Clear Mission

As I am heading off to Davos in a few days, hereby my call to journalists, thought leaders, funders, and changemakers. I invite you to connect at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where I’ll be next week. Passionately advocating for this transformative change.

Last year, when I attended Davos for the first time as a guest of Philips and the Philips Foundation. I was 1. overwhelmed and 2. struck by the immense potential of this global stage. Not just a stage for world leaders, but for anyone with a mission to drive meaningful change. This year, as I prepare to return, I carry with me an even stronger conviction to speak up. Procurement is not merely a transaction; it’s a catalyst for transformation. By championing local supply chains, fostering sustainable practices, and embracing inclusivity, we can reimagine procurement as a tool for economic resilience and equality. Particularly in the aid and health sectors where every decision has far-reaching impacts.

A Call to Action for Changemakers or Enablers

Hence to all journalists, thought leaders, funders, and changemakers: I invite you to join me at the World Economic Forum in Davos or connect with me today. Together, we can rebuild systems that truly serve communities. Ensuring every euro, dollar, yen, or shilling spent travels far and wide, more sustainably.

🤝 Who will be my next handshake to join me in advancing these actions?
