I am used to support others, challenge individuals and agencies I work with to make improvements happen. To make humanitarian aid responses more efficient, smarter and faster. Measure what we do, make full use of data we do already collect; not losing the power of data by over-reporting and not being able to dis-aggregate; and many other things. Mostly asking the right questions. However, most and foremost in the anonymity of the digital global www world. This week however marks a change. My dear friend challenged me… go start writing about your mission, and get your name out there. I do not know how to start, but this blog is already my second step!

The first one was two days ago, last Sunday, I bought the domain clairebarnhoorn.com and just got it up, as of today. Today the day I get my name out to challenge even more people and share what I have been able to learn in my sector with others! Scary and exciting at the same time!
